Pic #1 is Nick and his sister at home, #2 is Nick and his cat and #3 is Nick, his Mom and Priscilla Presley at Graceland in April of this year. He got to meet the American Idols and had luch with them and Priscilla and Lisa Marie.
Ya know..I am not an overly religious person by any means. But I find myself praying all of the time for this kid. Let me tell you what I know about Nick Avery. He shares the same birthday as me. My daughter saw him her school when she was in 7th grade. He doesn't go there, but he was there for some reason. He was wearing a Role Model shirt. Role Model is the clothing the band Simple Plan came out with. She was obsessed with Simple Plan, and had many Role Model shirts, so of course she became obsessed with Nick Avery. Then a friend of hers went to Youth Group with Nick, so Jennifer had to go to this Youth Group too. She actually came to like it there and is still going. BUT...her and Nick were this close to becoming a couple when he got sick. They are clones of each other. Jen is the girl Nick and Nick is the Boy Jen. They dress the same, listen to the same music, believe in the same things and have good morals. He is a good kid and I would be proud if he ever became a part of this family. ( thats far down the road I know...). Anyway, Jennifer got to spend the day with Nick the last Sunday he was home and I know she will always treasure that...no matter what happens.
Nick's family is asking that everyone pray Psalm 6. Josh and their Mom were both drawn to it and told each other and now wants us all to read it, pray it, think it, whatever... They ask that we pray for the swelling in his lungs to go down and his kidneys to continue working on their own. The dialysis didn't work last night and they took him off and he started peeing on his own. They have now moved him back to St. Jude and he will be in ICU there.
Thank You all for the prayers and good thoughts...no bad thoughts please..only good ones..
if any of you do not know Psalms 6..here it is:
The Psalms 6
Prayer for Mercy in Time of Trouble
To the chief Musician on Neg'inoth upon Shem'inith, A Psalm of David.
1
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger,
neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Ps. 38.1
2
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak:
O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3
My soul is also sore vexed:
but thou, O LORD, how long?
4
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul:
oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
5
For in death there is no remembrance of thee:
in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6
I am weary with my groaning;
all the night make I my bed to swim;
I water my couch with my tears.
7
Mine eye is consumed because of grief;
it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; Mt. 7.23 · Lk. 13.27
for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9
The LORD hath heard my supplication;
the LORD will receive my prayer.
10
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed:
let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
