Nick Update

Nick's ICP is between 13 and 14.(the pressure in his brain) Still high but coming down. He has had a fever and it was down to 100 last I heard. They had decided that he had a systemic infection and that is what caused all of this so they are now treating him with antibiotics. So...keep praying my friends...

Here is what Josh, Nick's brother, has to say about all of this. Josh is 20 BTW and is in college.

Today as the day has gone one and things have progressed, there have been a few more updates from what Jill last posted online earlier today. Firstly, the ICP has been around 13-14 all day long, besides the times when they were doing work on him or cat scans or the like. It's pretty much been confirmed at this point that the entire incident was caused by a systemic infection, as Jill stated earlier. They are now running some different tests to see exactly just what specific infection this is, so they can treat it the best and most effectively.
The waiting is still being done- a huge amount of waiting. Of course, the doctors are still giving reports of uncertainty, and questions. They continually try to remind us that until they take him of all sedatives, they will have no idea of what the damage is to Nick's brain and how that could affect any part of him. It seems as if these doctors want to focus on the negative- maybe to prepare us for the worst, or maybe just because they are being used by the enemy to give us thoughts that aren't true. Probably both.
Would you like to hear a secret? Gather closely, because the enemy may be angry if this is overheard..... I know the enemy's battleplan. I've seen their maps, their tactics, and all of their tricks. I'll even let you know what those plans are, so you can be prepared. The plan is to work through fear. The enemy knows well that lies and deception can work well, spreading quickly and turning even the boldest of soldiers into a pile of rubble. Once the enemy has gotten ahold of us in our fear, he has won a battle.
But my friends, there is something that the enemy has not counted on- something that will be his demise. The enemy has not counted on the Circle. He has not counted on the believers being stronger than him and his tactics- he has not thought through the idea that we will not give in to his fear. He has not counted on the Circle.
Continue to pray, continue to be strong. The war is still raging, but we now have the upper hand. The end is in sight, my friends. Pray without ceasing, and never break the Circle.
You may have seen my previous posts, in which I've always closed with "Never break the Circle." Let me explain that quickly..... never lose sight of the thing that ties us Christians together, never lose sight of the Circle Christ has drawn around us- setting us apart from fear, anxiety, and doubt. But most of all- never break the Circle and give into these things.
It is in this Circle that the peace of God is brought to us- because we now know the enemy's plan. And we will not back down or be taken off guard by it.
Dive Deep.
